KidSport chapters work tirelessly to raise the funds necessary to support local kids and ultimately the local sport economy and your clubs. This is a great opportunity to be recognized as a leader in your sport and togive back during this milestone year.<\/p>\n<p><b>How do I get involved?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Make a commitment as a club to show your support for\u00a0<b>KidSport Calgary &amp; Area<\/b>. Here are some ideas to get you started:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Donation link:<\/b>\u00a0Put the KidSport donation link on your website or as an option on your registration page like\u00a0<b>CalWest Basketball<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<b>Kyle Shewfelt Gymnastics<\/b>\u00a0have done for years.<\/li>\n<li><b>Share and Donate:<\/b>\u00a0Promote and or participate in your local chapters fundraising events on social media and within your membership (share ticket info, donate auction items, sponsor etc) like\u00a0<b>InjaNation<\/b>\u00a0does each year!<\/li>\n<li><b>Contribute to the Cause<\/b>\u00a0&#8211; Include support for KidSport in your registration fees similar to the\u00a0<b>Calgary Minor Soccer Association\u00a0<\/b>KidSport program<\/li>\n<li><b>Get Social:<\/b>\u00a0Thank KidSport donors and partners \u2013 tell your story \u2013 this can be a written thank you or social media posts letting people know the impact KidSport has had on your club, your sport or directly from kids in your programs that KidSport is helping.<\/li>\n<li><b>Promote:<\/b>\u00a0Promote the 25<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Anniversary fundraising initiatives to your membership \u2013 parents, volunteers and athletes \u2013 these initiatives will fall into three main campaigns.\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/kidsportcanada.ca\/alberta\/calgary\/fr\/whats-new\/coachthecoach\/\">Coach the Coach<\/a>\u00a0which is meant for teams and individual athletes wanting to give back and have some fun with their coaches \u2013 see our first videos\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/312CFTn\">here<\/a><\/li>\n<li>PlayitForward25 \u2013 individuals sharing what sport means and has meant to them<\/li>\n<li>Monthly messaging \u2013 the importance of sport and what we learn<\/li>\n<li><b>Charity of Choice in 2020:<\/b>\u00a0Raise, donate or fundraise for KidSport within the 2020 calendar year.\u00a0 Make KidSport your charity of choice through one of your annual events, tournaments, camps, drop-in classes or new programs like\u00a0<b>Flip Factory<\/b>,\u00a0<b>Elev8 Lacrosse, Calgary United Soccer Association, Calgary Bantam Football Association<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<b>Hockey Calgary<\/b>\u00a0do each year.\u00a0 You can even join our KidSport Recycling program like our great partners at\u00a0<b>WinSport, Calgary Soccer Centre and Westside Rec Centre!<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>What do I get in return?<br \/>\n<\/b>Your club will be promoted on our social media channels and website as an official KidSport 25 Sport Partner Champion.\u00a0 You will continue to receive funding for qualified kids in your program through KidSport that you are now apart of helping ensure those dollars will continue to be there year after year. You will be a community leader within your sport showing others the importance of KidSport to your club, your sport and our sport community as a whole.
