Haley Daniels, a National team member for white water slalom canoeing has been at the forefront of gender equality reform to push for equal opportunity in sport. She along with other fellow canoeists have been pioneering a legacy towards Tokyo 2020 where women’s canoeing will make its debut in the Olympics.

Sport has given me the freedom to grow and learn how to become confident and comfortable in my own skin. Community is one of my most important values and this is why I choose to work with KidSport Calgary. The team at KidSport directly creates opportunities for my local community to be involved in organized sport so they can dream big like I did when I was young. As an ambassador I have made life long friends where we share a common goal to get a many kids into sport despite their barriers.
