KidSport Cold Lake provides grants of up to $300 per eligible child, per year (January 1st &#8211; December 31st) towards sport registration fees.<\/p>\n<p>Do you need equipment in order to play? Let us know, and we can make a referral to a partner agency. KidSport grants are intended to be used for sport registration fees; travel and competitions are not eligible for funding.<\/p>\n\t<h3>Eligibility Requirements<\/h3>\n\t<p>KidSport Alberta uses the federal government low income guidelines plus approximately 30% to determine eligibility.<\/p>\n<p>To determine financial eligibility for grants provided through the KidSport Cold Lake, the applicant needs to submit one of the following documents.\u00a0 Proof of income for each adult in the home is required.<\/p>\n<p>Preferred Document:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Canada Child Benefit Notice-page 1 and 2 most recent tax year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other Options:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proof of Income Statement-each adult in the home- accessed through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/revenue-agency\/services\/e-services\/e-services-individuals\/a-proof-income-statement-option-print.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CRA My Account<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Notice of Assessment-each adult in the home-most recent tax year<\/li>\n<li>Income Support<\/li>\n<li>Subsidized Housing<\/li>\n<li>Child Health Benefit letter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are unsure of your eligibility to receive a grant, please reach out to <a href=\"mailto:coldlake@kidsport.ab.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>coldlake@kidsport.ab.ca<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\t<h3>How Do I Apply?<\/h3>\n\t<p>Find a sport program your kid would like to join and sign up. Let the program&#8217;s administrators know you will be applying for KidSport funding.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"[find_chapter]\">Click here<\/a> to find your local KidSport Chapter, or see if you are covered by the provincial fund<\/li>\n<li>Apply online or use the paper application form &#8211; be sure to complete all sections of the application, as incomplete applications take much longer to process, and can cause delays in receiving your grant.<\/li>\n<li>Your completed application will be processed within 30 days of being received. Each program is different, but many do require that KidSport funding be received prior to the program&#8217;s start date. You should apply for a KidSport grant as soon as possible after your kid has been registered, as it can sometimes take up to 30 days for applications to be processed.<\/p>\n<p>KidSport grants cannot be applied to programs that have already ended.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"void(0);\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-5\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-5\">How will I know if the application has been approved?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-5\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-5\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>If you have applied online, you will be sent an automatic, system-generated email with your approval information.<\/p>\n<p>If you have applied offline (in-person, through an emailed PDF form, or through a printed form), you must include your email address in order to receive confirmation of your approval.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"void(0);\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-6\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-6\">How do I demonstrate financial eligibility?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-6\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-6\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Your Proof of Income Statement can be accessed through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/revenue-agency\/services\/e-services\/e-services-individuals\/a-proof-income-statement-option-print.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CRA My Account<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We strongly recommend this option, as it is free, and the fastest way to obtain your statement.<\/p>\n<p>You may also request your statement by mail.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"void(0);\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-7\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-7\">What if the child lives outside of the area we cover?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-7\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-7\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>If your family lives outside of the area we cover, you can apply to the KidSport Provincial Fund. The provincial fund works like a big chapter, and covers all communities that do not already have a KidSport chapter.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"void(0);\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-8\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-8\">Is my information kept private and confidential?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-8\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-8\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Yes, all your personal information will be stored securely and destroyed once appropriate.
