Guests will enjoy a hot breakfast buffet and hear from an incredible panel of women in sport \u2014 athletes and leaders whose lives and careers have been shaped by the power of sport. There will also be an opportunity for attendees to support KidSport&#8217;s mission to help underserved KidSport girls access sport through a fundraising cash call.<\/p>\n<p>Because KidSport Edmonton is marking 30 years in the community, this year\u2019s event will centre around the theme\u00a0<em>30-in-30<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 reflecting on the last 30 years of women\u2019s sport, the barriers and breakthroughs, and imagining what the next 30 years should look like for girls and women in sport.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ticket Options<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full Table (8 Tickets) | $240 &#8211;\u00a0<em>Reserved seating with priority placement near the front<\/em><\/li>\n<li>*Half Table (4 Tickets) | $120 &#8211;\u00a0<em>Reserved seating with preferred placement<\/em><\/li>\n<li>*Individual | $30 &#8211;\u00a0<em>Reserved seating<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>*If you purchase more than one option of tickets available,\u00a0all tickets on a single order will be placed at the same table.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Where the funds go:<\/strong>\u00a0To\u00a0<a title=\"https:\/\/kidsportcanada.ca\/alberta\/edmonton\/\" href=\"https:\/\/kidsportcanada.ca\/alberta\/edmonton\/fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KidSport\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0&#8216;So ALL Kids Can Play&#8217; Grant Program. A fee assistance program designed to create equal access for underserved youth through subsidizing sport registration fees for KidSport kids. Funds raised at the Be Her Game Changer event will ensure eligible KidSport girls have the opportunity to gain life skills through sport.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Confirmed Panelists:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"117\" data-end=\"433\"><strong data-start=\"117\" data-end=\"193\">Katherine Plouffe, <\/strong>Professional Basketball Player, 2 x Canadian Olympian<br data-start=\"193\" data-end=\"196\" \/><em>Katherine Plouffe is one of the world\u2019s top 3\u00d73 basketball players,\u00a0winning the 2025 FIBA Women&#8217;s Series, along with back-to-back titles in 2022-2023\u00a0and a silver medal at the 2022 World Cup. A two-time Olympian with Canada in 2024 (3&#215;3) and 2016 (5&#215;5).<\/em><\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"435\" data-end=\"438\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"440\" data-end=\"800\"><strong data-start=\"440\" data-end=\"515\">Michelle Plouffe,\u00a0<\/strong>Performance Manager 3&#215;3 with Canada Basketball,\u00a03\u00a0x Canadian Olympian<br data-start=\"515\" data-end=\"518\" \/><em>Michelle Plouffe recently retired from professional basketball, taking a leadership role with Canada Basketball. As a leader in 3\u00d73 basketball, she has helped Canada capture multiple FIBA Women\u2019s Series titles and\u00a0a 4th place finish in 3&#215;3 at the 2024 Paris Olympics.<\/em><\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"802\" data-end=\"805\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"807\" data-end=\"1166\"><strong data-start=\"807\" data-end=\"876\">Vanessa Hettinger, <\/strong>CEO &amp; Master Instructor, Hockeyology at ZerOne<br data-start=\"876\" data-end=\"879\" \/><em>Vanessa Hettinger, a former University of Alberta Panda and Hockey Alberta alum, has been a trailblazer in women\u2019s hockey in Edmonton. Now CEO of Hockeyology at ZerOne, she is also a Master Coach with Hockey Canada and Skate Canada, known for developing elite talent and mentoring coaches nationwide.<\/em><\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1168\" data-end=\"1171\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"1173\" data-end=\"1506\"><strong data-start=\"1173\" data-end=\"1237\">Janine Helland, <\/strong>Former Canadian Women\u2019s National Team Player<br data-start=\"1237\" data-end=\"1240\" \/><em>Janine Helland, a four-time All-Canadian with the University of Alberta Pandas, represented Canada on the women\u2019s national soccer team at two World Cups. She later spent 10 years with KidSport Edmonton, helping thousands of local kids access sport through her work as Funds Manager.<\/em><\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1508\" data-end=\"1511\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"1513\" data-end=\"1844\"><strong data-start=\"1513\" data-end=\"1578\">Lisa MacGregor, <\/strong>Journalist and Former Global News Anchor (Moderator)<br data-start=\"1578\" data-end=\"1581\" \/><em>Lisa MacGregor is a former Global News anchor and reporter with over 15 years of experience covering Alberta\u2019s biggest stories and sporting moments, and will soon be launching an independent online news platform.\u00a0She is also an avid cyclist, urban farmer, and advocate for sustainability and community connection.<\/em><\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1846\" data-end=\"1849\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"1851\" data-end=\"2160\"><strong data-start=\"1851\" data-end=\"1907\">Katie Mulkay, <\/strong>Former Pandas Wrestler, Amazing Race Canada Winner\u00a0(Emcee)<br data-start=\"1907\" data-end=\"1910\" \/><em>Katie Mulkay is a passionate community leader\u00a0and\u00a0dedicated KidSport Edmonton Ambassador. She captured a National Championship with U of A Pandas wrestling, and is the 2024 winner of The Amazing Race Canada.
