Please welcome to Team KidSport: Dieu-merci Michel!<\/p>\n

Dieu-merci joined BTB Academy after the club\u2019s founder Kondeh Mansaray introduced KidSport\u2019s \u2018So ALL Kids Can Play!\u2019 Grant Program to him and his family. Dieu-merci hasn\u2019t looked back since\u2026<\/p>\n

Dieu-merci quickly showed his potential as a youth player in Edmonton and Alberta. A five-time provincial champion, and National champion at U15, alongside individual honours as his team\u2019s top goal scorer in those five seasons. He also received the BTB Ballon d\u2019Or (Player of the Year).<\/p>\n

These accolades and an individual self-belief and drive eventually led to Dieu-merci signing his first professional contract at the age of 18. He scored his first professional goal on his debut and ended his first season as the top scorer in the U19 league in Portugal.<\/p>\n

Dieu-merci has continued to make strides in his professional career, now playing for Vitoria FC\u2019s B team in Portugal, and recently attended a Canadian National team camp, training alongside the likes of Alphonso Davies.<\/p>\n
