\n\t\t\tWhat is the Oil Country Hockey Assist Program (HAP)?\t<\/h2>\n\t

The Hockey Assist Program (HAP), funded by the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation<\/a> through its Every Kid Deserves a Shot<\/a> initiative presented by Rogers, provides up to $750<\/strong> toward registration fees for season-based and competition-based ice hockey programs.<\/p>\n\t

HOW DO I APPLY?<\/h2>\n

\n\t\t\tLiving in Edmonton?\t<\/h2>\n\t

Step 1:<\/u><\/strong> Register your child in an eligible ice hockey program.<\/p>\n

*Please see “What programs are covered by the Oil Country Hockey Assist Program?”<\/strong> in our Common Questions<\/strong> section below.<\/em><\/p>\n

Step 2:<\/u><\/strong> Apply for funding through KidSport Edmonton<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Step 3:<\/u><\/strong> If your kid requires hockey equipment, please note this on your kid’s application form. Upon approval of your kid’s application form, KidSport Edmonton will connect you with our sports equipment partner, Sport Central<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Approved applicants are eligible to receive\u00a0up to $750 per child ONCE per hockey season<\/strong> for their hockey program registration fees, as well as access to no-cost equipment from Sport Central<\/b>, if needed.<\/b><\/p>\n

Let us know when you fill out the KidSport Application!<\/p>\n

KidSport Edmonton will refer families who need equipment to Sport Central<\/a> for a proper equipment fitting.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> If your child needs equipment, we recommend you apply for KidSport funding two months before the sport begins and once approved for KidSport funding, a referral to Sport Central is provided. However, if you need equipment immediately, call Sport Central to set up an appointment directly (780) 477-1166.<\/p>\n

For families outside of Edmonton area, there are options available. If you live outside of Edmonton, a remote sizing kit can be sent to you and equipment shipment options are available through our trusted partner Rosenau Transport Ltd<\/a>.<\/p>\n
