Peninsula Co-op has been an outstanding supporter of our community generally, and KidSport Victoria/Greater Victoria specifically, for years. Well aware of the significant and unique challenges charitable organizations have faced this year, Peninsula Co-op offered us an amazing opportunity this Fall: a $15,000 matching campaign through the month of October. In a year that has meant the loss or dramatic shift of all of our biggest fundraising events, this support was more valuable than ever. We are proud and grateful for the contributions of many individuals and groups, who together with Peninsula Co-op’s match, donated over $28,000 to our cause. In KidSport terms, that’s a season of sport for very nearly 100 local kids in financial need, who wouldn’t otherwise have had the opportunity to play.
