SportJeunesse North Shore (North & West Vancouver)
S’IMPLIQUER
There are so many ways you can make it So ALL Kids Can Play! Find your way and join the KidSport North Shore team.
Faire du bénévolat
KidSport North Shore (KSNS) exists because of our incredible partners and enthusiastic volunteers. Whether you’re an avid sports fan, believe that health and wellness are critical to childhood success, or simply want to make your community a better place, we want you on our team.
We are currently looking for volunteers in the following roles:
- Website Design
We are looking for someone to oversee and manage our website.
- Grant Writing
We are looking for someone to research appropriate grants and apply.
- Fundraising & Community Outreach
With the impacts of COVID-19, there’s an increased number of financially challenged families requiring support so their children can play a season of their sport, or some version of it. Consequently, we’d like to add a new member to KSNS, who will work with other Board members to reach out to prospective corporate donors, to ensure there’s funding available to support the increased demand of grant applications.
KSNS serves the North Shore community from Deep Cove to Lions Bay (including Bowen Island), and events occur within this region. There is much to be done online which means that we mainly work from our homes and with Zoom calls and through a common Outlook system we maintain contact – posting drafts, requesting feedback, posting final versions, etc. Through this collaborative and inclusive approach, all of us on the KSNS Team contribute to ensuring that all North Shore kids get to play their game. Our target is to host two annual events: our "Duck, Dive and Dodge Dodgeball Challenge" and our "New & Used Sports Equipment Sale".
Time Commitment:
Approximately 2-3 hours per month plus assisting with 1-2 major fundraising events per year
