Scroll down to learn more about our program and get answers to all of your questions.\n\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/kidsport.smartsimple.ca\/s_Login.jsp\" target=\"_blank\" role=\"button\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAPPLY ONLINE NOW\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t<h2><strong>We are pleased to announce that effective August 2022, our annual grant will increase from $300 to $500 per child per calendar year.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2>\n\t\tWhat is a Grant?\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>KidSport provides grants to kids from families facing financial barriers so they can participate in registered sport programs and experience the lifelong benefits of a season of sport. KidSport Manitoba provides grants of up to $500 per eligible kid, per year (January 1st &#8211; December 31st) towards sport registration fees. Clubs eligible for Kidsport funding must be active members of their Provincial Sport Organizations (PSO). If you are not sure if the club you want to apply for is a member of their respective PSO, we recommend contacting them to find out. You can find a list of all the Provincial Sport Organizations on the Sport Manitoba website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportmanitoba.ca\/sport-manitoba\/partners\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Grants are intended to be used for sport registration fees; travel, competitions, uniforms and camps are not eligible for funding.<\/p>\n\n\t<h2>Eligibility Requirements<\/h2>\n\t<h2>new<\/h2>\n\tIf your family&#8217;s financial situation has been impacted due to COVID-19, please submit your most recent Notice of Assessment (2019) as well as verification that you have applied to, and received any of the following:\n<ul>\n<li>\nCanada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB)\n<\/li>\n<li>\nEmployment Insurance Benefits\n<\/li>\n<li>\nIncome Assistance or Indigenous Social Assistance\n<\/li>\n<li>\nTemporary Wage Top-Up (Low Income Essential Workers)\n<\/li>\n<li>\nCanada Emergency Student Benefit (CESB)\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>KidSport uses the Statistics Canada Low Income Cut-off guidelines as a tool to determine which families are eligible for assistance. Those looking for funding assistance at the AA or AAA levels are eligible for KidSport support.<\/p>\n<h3>Application deadlines<\/h3>\n<p>The application deadline for all regions is the 15th &#8211; or the last working day prior to the 15th of every month by 4:30 pm . Let the program&#8217;s administrators know you will be applying for KidSport funding. The sport must have an active Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) within Sport Manitoba. If you are not sure if the sport you want to apply for has a PSO, please visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportmanitoba.ca\/sport-manitoba\/partners\">Sport Manitoba website <\/a>for a list of current PSO&#8217;s.<\/li>\n<li>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/kidsportcanada.ca\/manitoba\/chapters\/\">here<\/a> to find your local KidSport Chapter<\/li>\n<li>Apply online or use the paper application form &#8211; be sure to complete all sections of the application, as incomplete applications take much longer to process, and can cause delays in receiving your grant.<\/li>\n<li>Your completed application will be processed within 30 days of being received. Each program is different, but many do require that KidSport funding be received prior to the program&#8217;s start date. You should apply for a KidSport grant as soon as possible after your kid has been registered, as it can sometimes take up to 30 days for applications to be processed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>KidSport grants cannot be applied to programs that have already ended.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-5\">How will I know if the application has been approved?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-5\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t<p>If you have applied online, you will be sent an automatic, system-generated email with your approval information.<\/p>\n<p>If you have applied offline (in-person, through an emailed PDF form, or through a printed form), you must include your email address in order to receive confirmation of your approval.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-6\">How do I demonstrate financial eligibility?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-6\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t<p>Please provide a copy of your Canada Customs and Revenue Agency Notice of Assessment showing Line 150 &#8211; Total Gross Income. Additional proof of income, such as pay stubs, a Social Assistance budget, or letter from a case worker, will be required when $0 is shown as the total income.
