On July 30, 2025, over 160 young athletes laced up their cleats and stepped onto the field at Princess Auto Stadium for an unforgettable evening of football, fun, and community \u2014 all led by KidSport Manitoba Ambassador and Winnipeg Blue Bombers star Nic Demski. Hosted with support from the KidSport Manitoba Football Champions, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, the Nic Demski Football Camp brought together youth players from across the province to grow their skills, all in support of KidSport Manitoba.<\/span><\/p>\n

Campers participated in high-energy drills focused on passing, catching, footwork, and teamwork \u2014 all led by Nic Demski and an all-star lineup of celebrity coaches from the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, the University of Manitoba Bisons, and Football Manitoba.<\/span><\/p>\n

From first-time players learning the game to returning athletes sharpening their skills, the day was filled with excitement, encouragement, and community spirit. From warm-ups to water breaks to post-camp autographs, every moment carried the values of inclusion, opportunity, and growth.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

More Than a Camp \u2014 A Chance to Play<\/b><\/h3>\n

This camp wasn\u2019t just about drills and touchdowns. It was about access \u2014 making sure that all kids, regardless of their family\u2019s financial situation, have the opportunity to play. Among the participants were kids who had previously been supported through KidSport Manitoba, giving them a chance to train alongside some of their football heroes \u2014 an opportunity they may not have had without the support of our tremendous donors.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thanks to the incredible generosity of participants and donors, the camp raised over <\/span>$10,000<\/b> \u2014 allowing <\/span>35 children across Manitoba<\/b> the opportunity to access organized sport this year.<\/span> This camp is a powerful example of what\u2019s possible when athletes, teams, and communities come together to remove barriers and create change.<\/span><\/p>\n

At KidSport Manitoba, we believe that no child should be left on the sidelines due to financial barriers. Thanks to the leadership of Nic Demski and the support behind this event, more kids will have the opportunity to step onto the field this year with confidence and a sense of belonging.<\/span><\/p>\n
