Scroll down to learn more about our program and get answers to all of your questions.\n\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/kidsport.smartsimple.ca\/s_Login.jsp\" target=\"_blank\" role=\"button\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAPPLY ONLINE NOW\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n<h2>\n\t\tWhat is a Grant?\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>KidSport provides grants to kids from families facing financial barriers so they can participate in registered sport programs and experience the lifelong benefits of a season of sport. KidSport Acadian Peninsula provides grants of up to $400 per eligible child, per year (January 1st &#8211; December 31st) towards sport registration fees.<\/p>\n<p>Do you need equipment in order to play? Let us know, and we can make a referral to a partner agency. KidSport grants are intended to be used for sport registration fees; travel and competitions are not eligible for funding.<\/p>\n\t<h3>Eligibility Requirements<\/h3>\n\t<p>KidSport Acadian Peninsula uses the following eligibility requirements to determine financial eligibility for grants provided through the Provincial Fund.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CRA Tax Assesment from most recent tax year<\/li>\n<li>3 most recent pay stubs<\/li>\n<li>Information displaying exceptional circumstances<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\t<h3>How Do I Apply?<\/h3>\n\t<p>Find a sport program your kid would like to join and sign up. Let the program&#8217;s administrators know you will be applying for KidSport funding.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"[find_chapter]\">Click here<\/a> to find your local KidSport Chapter, or see if you are covered by the provincial fund<\/li>\n<li>Apply online or use the paper application form &#8211; be sure to complete all sections of the application, as incomplete applications take much longer to process, and can cause delays in receiving your grant.<\/li>\n<li>Your completed application will be processed within 30 days of being received. KidSport grants help cover the cost of registration fees, So ALL Kids Can Play!<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-1\">What does a KidSport grant cover?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-1\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t<p>KidSport grants cover the cost of sport registration and equipment fees for qualified families. Grants are intended to remove financial barriers to sport programs, and cannot be applied to transportation, or tournament fees.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-2\">What sports are eligible?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-2\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t<p>Sport activities must be recognized by the member organizations of Sport New Brunswick.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-3\">What communities are covered by KidSport Acadian Peninsula?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-3\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t<p>KidSport Acadian Peninsula covers families who reside in the Acadian Peninsula area. If you reside outside of this area please find your local chapter or apply to the KidSport New Brunswick Provincial Fund.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-4\">When is the deadline to apply?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-4\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\tYou must register your kid in a sports program prior to applying for KidSport funding. Each program is different, but many do require that KidSport funding be received prior to the program&#8217;s start date. You should apply for a KidSport grant as soon as possible after your kid has been registered, as it can sometimes take up to 30 days for applications to be processed. Deadlines are:<br \/>\nJanuary 31<br \/>\nMay 1<br \/>\nSeptember 1\n<p>KidSport grants cannot be applied to programs that have already ended.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-5\">How will I know if the application has been approved?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-5\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t<p>If you have applied online, you will be sent an automatic, system-generated email with your approval information.<\/p>\n<p>If you have applied offline (in-person, through an emailed PDF form, or through a printed form), you must include your email address in order to receive confirmation of your approval.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-6\">How do I demonstrate financial eligibility?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-6\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\n<p>We strongly recommend this option, as it is free, and the fastest way to obtain your statement.<\/p>\n<p>You may also request your statement by mail.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-7\">What if the child lives outside of the area we cover?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-7\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t<p>If your family lives outside of the area we cover, you can apply to the KidSport Provincial Fund. The provincial fund works like a big chapter, and covers all communities that do not already have a KidSport chapter.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-8\">Is my information kept private and confidential?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-8\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t<p>Yes, all your personal information will be stored securely and destroyed once appropriate. Our online application system is secure and trustworthy.
