You can still apply for a KidSport grant through the Provincial Fund.\n\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/kidsport.smartsimple.ca\/s_Login.jsp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAPPLY ONLINE NOW\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n<h2>\n\t\tWhat is a Grant?\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>KidSport provides grants to kids from families facing financial barriers so they can participate in registered sport programs and experience the lifelong benefits of a season of sport. KidSport New Brunswick provides grants of up to $400 per eligible kid, per year (January 1st &#8211; December 31st) towards sport registration fees.<\/p>\n<p>If the child needs equipment, we will make a referral to a partner agency. Grants are intended to be used for sport registration fees; travel and competitions are not eligible for funding.<\/p>\n\t<h3>Eligibility Requirements<\/h3>\n\t<p>KidSport New Brunswick uses the following eligibility requirements to determine financial eligibility for grants provided through the Provincial Fund.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Most recent Canada Child Benefit Notice<\/li>\n<li>Explanation of extenuating circumstances<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>if you are new to Canada and arrived in the country less than 12 months ago, please contact our KidSport coordinator at 506-238-3875 or <a href=\"mailto:programs@sportnb.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">programs@sportnb.com<\/a> to learn about the documents you must provide.<\/p>\n\t<h3>How Do I Apply?<\/h3>\n\t<ol>\n<li>Find a sport program your kid would like to join and sign up. Since 1993, we have helped nearly 1 million kids off the sidelines and into a season of sport!<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"void(0);\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-1\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-1\">What does a KidSport grant cover?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-1\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-1\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>KidSport grants cover the cost of sport registration fees for qualified families. Grants are intended to remove financial barriers to sport programs, and so cannot be applied to equipment, transportation, or tournament fees.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"void(0);\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-2\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-2\">What sports are eligible?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-2\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-2\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Sport activities must be recognized by the member organizations of Sport New Brunswick.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"void(0);\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-3\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-3\">What communities do we serve?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-3\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-3\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>KidSport New Brunswick has seven chapters, each serving their local community. Communities that do not yet have a KidSport chapter are covered by the KidSport New Brunswick Provincial Fund. Not sure where to apply? Click the drop-down menu at the top of the screen to see a list of our chapters.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"void(0);\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-4\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-4\">When is the deadline to apply?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-4\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-4\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\tYou must register your kid in a sports program prior to applying for KidSport funding. Each program is different, but many do require that KidSport funding be received prior to the program&#8217;s start date. You should apply for a KidSport grant as soon as possible after your kid has been registered, as it can sometimes take up to 30 days for applications to be processed. There are three deadlines:<br \/>\nJanuary 31<br \/>\nMay 1<br \/>\nSeptember 1\n<p>KidSport grants cannot be applied to programs that have already ended.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"void(0);\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-5\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-5\">How will I know if the application has been approved?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-5\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-5\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>If you have applied online, you will be sent an automatic, system-generated email with your approval information.<\/p>\n<p>If you have applied offline (in-person, through an emailed PDF form, or through a printed form), you must include your email address in order to receive confirmation of your approval.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"void(0);\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-6\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-6\">How do I demonstrate financial eligibility?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-6\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-6\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Your Proof of Income Statement can be accessed through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/revenue-agency\/services\/e-services\/e-services-individuals\/a-proof-income-statement-option-print.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CRA My Account<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We strongly recommend this option, as it is free, and the fastest way to obtain your statement.<\/p>\n<p>You may also request your statement by mail.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"void(0);\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-7\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-7\">What if the child lives outside of the area we cover?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-7\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-7\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>If you&#8217;re not sure which Chapter to apply for you can apply to the KidSport Provincial Fund.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"void(0);\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-8\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-8\">Is my information kept private and confidential?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-8\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-8\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Yes, all your personal information will be stored securely and destroyed once appropriate.
