\n\t\tQu\u2019est-ce qu\u2019une subvention?\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

KidSport provides grants to kids from families facing financial barriers so they can participate in registered sport programs and experience the lifelong benefits of a season of sport. KidSport Newfoundland & Labrador provides grants of up to $4<\/strong>00 <\/b>per eligible kid, per year (January 1st – December 31st)\u00a0 towards sport registration and equipment fees.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Grants are intended to be used for sport registration and equipment fees; travel and competitions are not eligible for funding. <\/p>\n\t

Crit\u00e8res d\u2019admissibilit\u00e9<\/h3>\n\t

KidSport Newfoundland & Labrador uses Statistics Canada Low Income Cut-offs <\/b>to determine financial eligibility for grants provided through the Provincial Fund. You may also have your application authorized from the Department of Advanced Education and Skills, or you may provide a cheque stub from your family’s most recent Income Support Payment.<\/p>\n

  1. Find a sport program your kid would like to join and sign up. Let the program’s administrators know you will be applying for KidSport funding.<\/li>\n
  2. To view a list of eligible sport programs visit https:\/\/sportnl.ca\/find-a-sport\/<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Apply online or use the paper application form – be sure to complete all sections of the application, as incomplete applications take much longer to process, and can cause delays in receiving your grant.<\/li>\n
  4. Your completed application will be processed within 4-6 weeks of being received. If you qualify for KidSport funding, the grant will be sent directly to the sport program your kid has signed up for.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Priority is given to applications received prior to the start of a sport registration deadline for the sport activity.\u00a0 Programs must be at least 8 weeks in duration and applications will not be considered if the program is within 6 weeks of completion.<\/p>\n
