KidSportTM and I AM Mending the Gap are proud to announce an alignment between the two organizations founded on the element of working together to mend the gender gap regarding financial assistance in organized sport. As National partners, the two organizations will work collectively as a team over the next year to execute events across the country. These events will target and inspire those who are willing and wanting to make a positive step forward towards mending the gap of financial assistance while getting their heart rates up.
All proceeds from the events will be directed back to I AM Mending the Gap in order to continue their mission of educating and increasing awareness of gender inequality in athletics across the country, and to KidSport in the provincial regions where the events take place to help reduce the financial barriers that include both registration and equipment fees for young girls across the country participating in organized sport.
We believe that the power of sport creates a lasting impact in one’s life, for the benefits of sport translate off the playing field. We too believe that everyone deserves equal opportunities to play. This is achievable if we all work together and begin the conversation towards Mending the Gap!
