\n\t\tQu\u2019est-ce qu\u2019une subvention?\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

KidSport provides grants to kids from families facing financial barriers so they can participate in organized sport programs and experience the lifelong benefits of a season of sport.\u00a0 KidSport Fort Frances provides grants of up to $350 per eligible child, per year (January 1st – December 31st) towards sport registration fees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Do you need equipment<\/strong> to play? Let us know, and we might also be able to help through our gently used equipment swap.\u00a0 KidSport grants are intended to be used for sport registration fees; travel and competitions are not eligible for funding.<\/p>\n\t

Crit\u00e8res d\u2019admissibilit\u00e9<\/h3>\n\t

KidSport Fort Frances reviews the financial barriers faced by the child’s family when determining eligibility for grants .<\/p>\n

NOTE:\u00a0<\/strong>In addition to the documentation required, KidSport Fort Frances will be verifying the following information from the Sport Organization for your health and safety:<\/p>\n

  1. That provincial government has allowed for sport to resume<\/em><\/li>\n
  2. That the municipality has allowed for sport to resume<\/em><\/li>\n
  3. That the governing body (PSO) has publically released a Return-To-Play procedure that member organizations must follow<\/em><\/li>\n
  4. That the sport group has a publically posted Return-to-Play procedure\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\t

    Que dois-je faire pour demander une subvention?<\/h3>\n\t

    Find a sport program your child would like to join and sign up.\u00a0 Let the sport program know you will be applying for KidSport funding.\u00a0 An application to KidSport does not register your child with the sport club.\u00a0 You must complete a Kidsport application and the sport club registration to ensure your child is registered with the sport club.<\/p>\n

    1. Apply online or use the paper application form.\u00a0 Be sure to complete all sections of the application, as incomplete applications take much longer to process, and can cause delays in receiving your grant.<\/li>\n
    2. Your completed application will be processed within 14 days of being received.<\/li>\n
    3. If you qualify for KidSport funding, the grant will be sent directly to the sport program your child has signed up for.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      KidSport Fort Frances gives grants to families to help remove financial barriers to sport. KidSport grants help cover the cost of registration fees, for kids ages 3-18 years, So ALL Kids Can Play!<\/p>\n\t\t\tQu\u2019est-ce que la subvention SportJeunesse couvre?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tExpand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t

      KidSport grants cover the cost of sport registration fees and\/or equipment for qualified families. Grants are intended to remove financial barriers to sport programs, and cannot be applied to transportation or tournament fees.<\/p>\n\t\t\tQuels sports sont admissibles?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tExpand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t

      KidSport supports participation in over 80 sports. Eligible organized sport programs and clubs must be affiliated with the provincial sport organization\/body and be a minimum of five (5) weeks in duration or be approved by the local chapter.<\/p>\n\t\t\tWhat communities are covered by KidSport Fort Frances?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tExpand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t

      You must register your kid in a sports program prior to applying for KidSport funding.\u00a0 You should apply for a KidSport grant as soon as possible after your child has been registered.<\/p>\n

      KidSport grants cannot be applied to programs that have already ended or have already been paid by parent or another organization.<\/p>\n

      We strongly recommend this option, as it is free, and the fastest way to obtain your statement. You may also request your statement by mail.<\/p>\n

      We will also accept three (3) receipt pay stubs or your Canada Child Tax Benefit indicating your income.<\/p>\n\n
