\n\t\tQu\u2019est-ce qu\u2019une subvention?\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

KidSport provides grants to kids from families facing financial barriers so they can participate in registered sport programs and experience the lifelong benefits of a season of sport. KidSport Hamilton provides grants of up to $200 per eligible child per year for recreational\/house league sport programs and up to $300 per eligible child per year for competitive\/representative sport programs (January 1 – December 31) towards sport registration fees.<\/p>\n

Do you need equipment in order to play? Let us know, and we can make a referral to a partner agency. KidSport grants are intended to be used for sport registration fees; travel, equipment, and competitions are not eligible for funding.<\/p>\n\t

Crit\u00e8res d\u2019admissibilit\u00e9<\/h3>\n\t

KidSport Hamilton reviews the financial barriers faced by the child’s family when determining eligibility for grants.<\/p>\n

NOTE:\u00a0<\/strong>In addition to the documentation required, KidSport Hamilton will be verifying the following information from the Sport Organization for your health and safety:<\/p>\n

  1. That provincial government has allowed for sport to resume<\/em><\/li>\n
  2. That the municipality has allowed for sport to resume<\/em><\/li>\n
  3. That the governing body (Provincial Sport Organizations) has publicly\u00a0released a Return-To-Play procedure that member organizations must follow<\/em><\/li>\n
  4. That the sport group has a publicly\u00a0posted Return-to-Play procedure\u00a0 <\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Que dois-je faire pour demander une subvention?<\/h3>\n\t

    Find a sport program your kid would like to join and sign up. Let the program’s administrators know you will be applying for KidSport funding.<\/p>\n

    2. Apply online or use the paper application form – be sure to complete all sections of the application, as incomplete applications take much longer to process, and can cause delays in receiving your grant.<\/li>\n
    3. Your completed application will be processed within 6 weeks of being received. If you qualify for KidSport funding, the grant will be sent directly to the sport program your kid has signed up for.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      KidSport grants cover the cost of sport registration fees for qualified families.       KidSport Hamilton supports participation in over 80 sports. Eligible organized sport programs and clubs must be affiliated with the provincial sport organization\/body and be a minimum of eight (8) weeks in duration. If you would like to verify if a sport program\/club qualifies for funding please contact the provincial office.<\/p>\n\t\t\tWhat communities are covered by KidSport Hamilton?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tExpand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t

      You must register your kid in a sports program prior to applying for KidSport funding. Each program is different, but many do require that KidSport funding be received prior to the program’s start date. You should apply for a KidSport grant as soon as possible after your kid has been registered, as it can sometimes take up to 6 weeks for applications to be processed.<\/p>\n
