Scroll down to learn more about our program and get answers to all of your questions.\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/kidsport.smartsimple.ca\/s_Login.jsp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAPPLY ONLINE NOW\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tWhat is a Grant?\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>KidSport provides grants to kids from families facing financial barriers so they can participate in registered sport programs and experience the lifelong benefits of a season of sport. KidSport Iroquois Falls provides grants of up to $500 per eligible child, per year (January 1st &#8211; December 31st) towards sport registration fees.<\/p>\n<p>Do you need equipment in order to play? Let us know, and the grant could be used towards equipment fees. KidSport grants are intended to be used for sport registration fees; travel and competitions are not eligible for funding.<\/p>\n\t<h3>Eligibility Requirements<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/219\/KSIF-income-threshold-1.png\" alt=\"KSIF income threshold\" height=\"218\" width=\"638\" title=\"KSIF income threshold\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n\t<p>KidSport Iroquois Falls uses the following eligibility requirements to determine financial eligibility for grants provided through the Provincial Fund.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Individuals 18 years &amp; under are eligible for a grant;<\/li>\n<li>Must be a resident of Iroquois Falls;<\/li>\n<li>Parent\/Guardian must initiate the application on behalf of an individual and attach proof of total family income;<\/li>\n<li>Application must be received prior to program start date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>NOTE:\u00a0<\/strong>In addition to the documentation required, KidSport Ontario will be verifying the following information from the Sport Organization for your health and safety:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><em>That provincial government has allowed for sport to resume<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>That the municipality has allowed for sport to resume<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>That the governing body (PSO) has publically released a Return-To-Play procedure that member organizations must follow<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>That the sport group has a publically posted Return-to-Play procedure\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you are unsure of your eligibility to receive a grant, please reach out to iroquoisfalls@kidsportontario.ca<\/p>\n\t<h3>How Do I Apply?<\/h3>\n\t<p>Find a sport program your kid would like to join and sign up. Let the program&#8217;s administrators know you will be applying for KidSport funding.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"[find_chapter]\">Click here<\/a> to find your local KidSport Chapter, or see if you are covered by the provincial fund<\/li>\n<li>Apply online or use the paper application form &#8211; be sure to complete all sections of the application, as incomplete applications take much longer to process, and can cause delays in receiving your grant.<\/li>\n<li>Your completed application will be processed within 30 days of being received. KidSport grants help cover the cost of registration fees and\/or equipment costs, So ALL Kids Can Play!<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-1\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-1\">What does a KidSport grant cover?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-1\"><i title=\"Expand\">Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>KidSport grants cover the cost of sport registration fees and\/or equipment costs for qualified families. Grants are intended to remove financial barriers to sport programs, and so can\/cannot be applied to transportation, or tournament fees.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-2\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-2\">What sports are eligible?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-2\"><i title=\"Expand\">Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Any recognized sport organization or physical recreational program within the Iroquois Falls Community requiring a registration fee and\/or equipment costs.<\/p>\n<p>For example: judo, ringette, hockey, dance, NEOAA sports, swimming, baseball, etc.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-3\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-3\">What communities are covered by KidSport Iroquois Falls?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-3\"><i title=\"Expand\">Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>All applicants must be residents of Iroquois Falls. Exception: An application from outside the boundaries of Iroquois Falls will be considered if applicant is particpating in an organization located in Iroquois Falls.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-4\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-4\">When is the deadline to apply?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-4\"><i title=\"Expand\">Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>You must register your child in a sports program prior to applying for KidSport funding. We require that KidSport funding be received prior to the program&#8217;s start date. You should apply for a KidSport grant as soon as possible after your child has been registered, as it can sometimes take up to 30 days for applications to be processed.<\/p>\n<p>KidSport grants cannot be applied to programs that have already ended.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-5\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-5\">How will I know if the application has been approved?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-5\"><i title=\"Expand\">Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>If you have applied online, you will be sent an automatic, system-generated email with your approval information.<\/p>\n<p>If you have applied offline (in-person, through an emailed PDF form, or through a printed form), you must include your email address and\/or phone number in order to receive confirmation of your approval.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-6\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-6\">How do I demonstrate financial eligibility?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-6\"><i title=\"Expand\">Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Your Proof of Income Statement can be accessed through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/revenue-agency\/services\/e-services\/e-services-individuals\/a-proof-income-statement-option-print.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CRA My Account<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We strongly recommend this option, as it is free, and the fastest way to obtain your statement.<\/p>\n<p>You may also request your statement by mail.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>NEW:\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><em>If your family&#8217;s financial situation has been impacted due to COVID-19, please submit your most recent Notice of Assessment (2018 or 2019) as well as verification that you have applied to, and received any of the following:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Employment Insurance Benefits<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Income Assistance or Indigenous Social Assistance<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Temporary Wage Top-Up (Low Income Essential Workers)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Canada Emergency Student Benefit (CESB)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-7\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-7\">What if the child lives outside of the area we cover?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-7\"><i title=\"Expand\">Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>If your family lives outside of the area we cover, you can apply to the KidSport Provincial Fund. The provincial fund works like a big chapter, and covers all communities that do not already have a KidSport chapter.<\/p>\n<p>Exception: If your family lives outside of Iroquois Falls but is applying to participate in a sports organization held in the community, you may qualify for funding.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-8\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-8\">Is my information kept private and confidential?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-8\"><i title=\"Expand\">Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Yes, all your personal information will be stored securely and destroyed once appropriate.
