\n\t\t\tWhat is a Grant?\t<\/h2>\n\t

KidSport provides grants to kids from families facing financial barriers so they can participate in registered sport programs and experience the lifelong benefits of a season of sport. KidSport North Bay provides grants of up to $600 per eligible child, per year (January 1st – November 1st) towards sport registration fees.\u00a0 KidSport Family Income threshold is $70,000.00.<\/p>\n

Deadline to apply for funding is November 1st<\/strong> of the current year.<\/p>\n

Do you need equipment in order to play? Let us know, and we can make a referral to a partner agency. KidSport grants are intended to be used for sport registration fees; travel and competitions are not eligible for funding.<\/p>\n

Please Note:\u00a0<\/strong> Please do not pre-pay for Registration or Equipment fees as we are unable to issue Grants to families.\u00a0 The Grant must be made payable to the Sport Club or Equipment Dealer.<\/p>\n

Should your child require Equipment, please provide an official quote from Skater’s North Source for Sports for protective gear only.\u00a0 This is the only equipment retailer that the KidSport North Bay Chapter has a relationship with.<\/p>\n\t

Eligibility Requirements<\/h3>\n\t

KidSport North Bay uses the following eligibility requirements to determine financial eligibility for grants provided through the Provincial Fund.<\/p>\n

NOTE:\u00a0<\/strong>In addition to the documentation required, KidSport North Bay will be verifying the following information from the Sport Organization for your health and safety:<\/p>\n

    1. That provincial government has allowed for sport to resume<\/em><\/li>\n
    2. That the municipality has allowed for sport to resume<\/em><\/li>\n
    3. That the governing body (PSO) has publically released a Return-To-Play procedure that member organizations must follow<\/em><\/li>\n
    4. That the sport group has a publically posted Return-to-Play procedure <\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      How Do I Apply?<\/h3>\n\t

      Find a sport program your kid would like to join and sign up. Let the program’s administrators know you will be applying for KidSport funding.<\/p>\n

      2. Apply online or use the paper application form – be sure to complete all sections of the application, as incomplete applications take much longer to process, and can cause delays in receiving your grant.<\/li>\n
      3. Your completed application will be processed within 30 days of being received. If you qualify for KidSport funding, the grant will be sent directly to the sport program your kid has signed up for.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
