\n\t\t\tKidSport grants are provided through the Provincial Fund. \n\t\t\tWhat is a Grant?\t<\/h2>\n\t

KidSport provides grants to kids from families facing financial barriers so they can participate in registered sport programs and experience the lifelong benefits of a season of sport. KidSport Prince Edward Island provides grants of up to $600 per eligible child (18 years and under), per year (January 1st – December 31st) towards sport registration fees.<\/p>\n

If the child needs equipment, we will make a referral to a partner agency. Grants are intended to be used for sport registration fees; travel and competitions are NOT eligible for funding.<\/p>\n\t

Eligibility Requirements<\/h3>\n\t

KidSport PEI uses family income level<\/b> to determine financial eligibility for grants provided through the Provincial Fund. A Net Annual Family Income of $60,000 or less will qualify you for a KidSport PEI grant.<\/p>\n

How Do I Apply?<\/h3>\n\t

  1. Find a sport program your kid would like to join and sign up. Let the program’s administrators know you will be applying for KidSport funding. Only programs that are organized through Sport PEI member sport organizations are eligible to receive funding. Click here<\/a> to view full list of members<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Apply online or use the paper application form – be sure to complete all sections of the application, as incomplete applications take much longer to process, and can cause delays in receiving your grant.<\/li>\n
  3. Your completed application will be processed within 30 days of being received. If you qualify for KidSport funding, the grant will be sent directly to the sport program your kid has signed up for.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
