Gloria Whalen was a loving wife and mother to her three wonderful children.\u00a0 She attended school at Vernon River Consolidated and high school in Montague.\u00a0 She received a BSc from St. FX University and a Master\u2019s degree from Mount St Vincent.\u00a0 During her many years as a physical education instructor, she worked with many young athletes at Belfast Consolidated and West Royalty Elementary School and was always on the bench to support their efforts and successes.\u00a0 Her skill as an athlete was evident in several sports including speedskating, volleyball, soccer, basketball and hockey.\u00a0 She will be missed by her many close friends from her teaching career and from the sports she participated in.<\/p>\n
KidSport believes that every child should have the opportunity to experience the joys of a season of sport.\u00a0 That’s why we provide grants to kids from families facing financial difficulties to ensure no kid i ever left\u00a0 watching from the sidelines.\u00a0 Donations made on this page will support KidSport PEI in Gloria’s memory – So All Kids Can Play!<\/p>\n
