You can still apply for a KidSport grant through the Provincial Fund. We are now accepting online applications.<\/h3>\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1RZCbVtaZ_JjgDejo1-lvYMa4TNyBvvXh\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> VIEW OUR ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA <\/a><\/p>\r\n<h2>What is a Grant?<\/h2>\r\n<p>KidSport provides grants to kids from families facing financial barriers so they can participate in certified sport programs and experience the lifelong benefits of a season of sport. KidSport Quebec provides grants of up to $300 per eligible child, per year (January 1st &#8211; December 31st) towards sport registration fees.<\/p>\r\n<p>Grants are intended to be used for sport registration fees; travel and competitions are not eligible for funding.<\/p>\r\n<h3>Eligibility Requirements<\/h3>\r\n<p>KidSport Quebec uses the following eligibility requirements to determine financial eligibility for grants provided through the Provincial Fund.<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>The child must be 18 years old or younger.<\/li>\r\n<li>The family must live in Quebec.<\/li>\r\n<li>The chosen sport program must be recognized by a sport organization member of SportsQuebec.<\/li>\r\n<li>The family must provide their most recent Canada Child Benefit Notice (CCB) and meet our financial criteria. Our detailed financial criteria can be found above under &#8220;View Our eligibility Criteria&#8221;.<\/li>\r\n<li>Starting in 2026, KidSport applications must be received at least 30 days before the start of the sport program.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>If you are unsure of your eligibility to receive a grant, please reach out to us at alussier@sportjeunessequebec.ca.<\/p>\r\n<h3>How Do I Apply?<\/h3>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Find a sport program your kid would like to join and sign up. Let the program&#8217;s administrators know you will be applying for KidSport funding.<\/li>\r\n<li>Find your local KidSport Quebec chapter, or see if you are covered by the provincial fund.<\/li>\r\n<li>Apply online or use the paper application form &#8211; be sure to complete all sections of the application, as incomplete applications take much longer to process, and can cause delays in receiving your grant.<\/li>\r\n<li>Your completed application will be processed within 30 days of being received. If you qualify for KidSport funding, the grant will be sent directly to the sport club your child is joining.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<p>You can submit a paper application by e-mail. Since 1993, KidSport across the country has helped nearly 1 million kids off the sidelines and into a season of sport!<\/p>\r\n<p><a id=\"fl-accordion--label-1\" role=\"heading\"><\/a>What does a KidSport grant cover? <button id=\"fl-accordion--icon-1\" type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-1\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/button><\/p>\r\n<p>KidSport grants cover the cost of sport registration fees for qualified families. Grants are intended to remove financial barriers to sport programs, and cannot be applied to transportation or tournament fees.<\/p>\r\n<p><a id=\"fl-accordion--label-2\" role=\"heading\"><\/a>What sports are eligible? <button id=\"fl-accordion--icon-2\" type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-2\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/button><\/p>\r\n<p>KidSport Quebec covers the cost of registration for a season of sport, up to $300 per calendar year. Sport camps, day camps or skills camps are not eligible for our funding.<\/p>\r\n<p>KidSport funds programs that are offered by sport clubs recognized by a provincial sport organization (e.g. Soccer Quebec, Escrime Quebec, etc.) member of SportsQuebec. Over 60 different sports are eligible for our funding.<\/p>\r\n<p><a id=\"fl-accordion--label-3\" role=\"heading\"><\/a>What communities do we serve? <button id=\"fl-accordion--icon-3\" type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-3\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/button><\/p>\r\n<p>KidSport Quebec has [number] chapters, each serving their local community. Communities that do not yet have a KidSport chapter are covered by the KidSport Quebec Provincial Fund. Not sure where to apply? Click the drop-down menu at the top of the screen to see a list of our chapters.<\/p>\r\n<p><a id=\"fl-accordion--label-4\" role=\"heading\"><\/a>When is the deadline to apply? <button id=\"fl-accordion--icon-4\" type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-4\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/button><\/p>\r\n<p>You must register your child in a sports program prior to applying for KidSport funding. Each program is different, but many do require that KidSport funding be received prior to the program&#8217;s start date. You should apply for a KidSport grant as soon as possible after your child has been registered, as it can sometimes take up to 30 days for applications to be processed.<\/p>\r\n<p>KidSport grants cannot be applied to programs that have already ended.<\/p>\r\n<p><a id=\"fl-accordion--label-5\" role=\"heading\"><\/a>How will I know if the application has been approved? <button id=\"fl-accordion--icon-5\" type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-5\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/button><\/p>\r\n<p>If you have applied online, you will be sent an automatic, system-generated email with your approval information.<\/p>\r\n<p>If you have applied offline (in-person, through an emailed PDF form, or through a printed form), you must include your email address in order to receive confirmation of your approval.<\/p>\r\n<p><a id=\"fl-accordion--label-6\" role=\"heading\"><\/a>How do I demonstrate financial eligibility? <button id=\"fl-accordion--icon-6\" type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-6\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/button><\/p>\r\n<p>Your most recent Canada Child Benefit Notice (CCB) can be accessed through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/revenue-agency\/services\/e-services\/e-services-individuals\/a-proof-income-statement-option-print.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CRA My Account<\/a><\/p>\r\n<p>We strongly recommend this option, as it is free, and the fastest way to obtain your statement.<\/p>\r\n<p>If your family does not qualify for CCB, you will need to provide your most recent Notice of Assessment (NOA) or documentation showing your family has been in Canada less than 12 months. Such applications will be assessed on a case by case basis.<\/p>\r\n<p><a id=\"fl-accordion--label-7\" role=\"heading\"><\/a>What if the child lives outside of the area we cover? <button id=\"fl-accordion--icon-7\" type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-7\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/button><\/p>\r\n<p>If your family lives outside of Quebec, you must submit your application to one of the other provincial chapters. There is a chapter in all Canadian provinces and in the North West Territories.<\/p>\r\n<p><a id=\"fl-accordion--label-8\" role=\"heading\"><\/a>Is my information kept private and confidential? <button id=\"fl-accordion--icon-8\" type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-8\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/button><\/p>\r\n<p>Yes, all your personal information will be stored securely and destroyed once appropriate. Our online application system is secure and trustworthy.
