Helping More Saskatchewan Youth Participate in Sport

SASKATOON (December 7, 2021) — Even more Saskatchewan youth will be able to participate in sport this year thanks to a new natural gas BBQ draw sponsored by the SaskEnergy Network as part of the Goals for KidSport Program.

Now in its eighth season, Goals for KidSport is a partnership between SaskEnergy Network members, KidSport Saskatchewan, and the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL). The program helps youth participate in sport by reducing the financial barriers to accessing sport activities.

As part of the program, for every home goal scored by an SJHL team (up to 1,000), $20 is donated through the SaskEnergy Network to KidSport chapters across the SJHL community.

“Our league is extremely proud to partner with SaskEnergy and its Network members to raise funds and awareness for KidSport,” SJHL President Bill Chow said. “This is another way our league gives back to the communities where we play.”
