The month-long celebration of the children\u2019s charity, which will feature events, fundraisers and celebrations, began today with a kickoff event at Kitchener Community School.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cSport and recreation plays such an important role in the health and well-being of our children and youth,\u201d Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Laura Ross said. \u201cSport helps children in all aspects of life and has positive effects on both their mental and physical development.
