KidSport Lumsden &amp; Area provides grants of up to $750 per eligible child, per year (January 1st &#8211; December 31st) towards sport registration fees.<\/p>\n<p>KidSport grants are intended to be used for sport registration fees.<\/p>\n<p>Equipment, dance, camps (including sport camps), specialized training, high performance sports, travel, clothing, tournaments, fundraising fees and competitions are not eligible for funding. Grants cannot be used for programs\/seasons of sport that have already concluded or started in the previous year.<\/p>\n<p>KidSport recommends applying a minimum of 30 days prior to the start of the sport season. Applications submitted after the start of the sport season may not be eligible for funding.<\/p>\n\t<h3>Eligibility Requirements<\/h3>\n\t<p>KidSport Lumsden &amp; Area uses the following\u00a0eligibility requirements to determine eligibility for grants:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Families that are low-income and facing financial barriers.<\/li>\n<li>Grants are for children and youth 5 to 18 years of age.<\/li>\n<li>Amateur sport programs.<\/li>\n<li>The sport activity has not started.<\/li>\n<li>Costs related to equipment, camps, travel, tournaments, clothing, championships, high performance, fundraising fees do not qualify.<\/li>\n<li>Dance is not covered.<\/li>\n<li>Generally accepted sport activities are those recognized and\/or sanctioned by the member organizations of <a href=\"https:\/\/sasksport.ca\/PSOs.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sask Sport Inc<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Supporting Documents<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Most Recent Notice of Assessment (NOA) &#8211; available through\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/revenue-agency\/services\/e-services\/cra-login-services.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CRA My Account<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Self-Employment Business income documents T2125<\/li>\n<li>Farming Income Documents T1163, T2042<\/li>\n<li>Proof of Income Statement-each adult in the home &#8211; accessed through\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/revenue-agency\/services\/e-services\/e-services-individuals\/a-proof-income-statement-option-print.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CRA My Account<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Assistance Program documents<\/li>\n<li>If a family member receives the Disability Tax Credit, please submit the approved DTC Notice of Determination Letter for additional considerations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications must be complete, including all required financial information to be considered for funding. Let the program&#8217;s administrators know you will be applying for KidSport funding. It will be up to the sport if they allow registration prior to registration fees being paid.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/[find_chapter]\">Click here<\/a> to find your local KidSport Chapter, or if your community is not listed please apply to the provincial fund.<\/li>\n<li>Apply online be sure to complete all sections of the application, as incomplete applications take much longer to process, and can cause delays in receiving your grant. You must apply prior to the start of the sport.<\/li>\n<li>Your completed application will be processed within 30 days of being received. If you qualify for KidSport funding, the grant will be sent directly to the sport program your kid has signed up for.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5>\n\t\t\tONLINE APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:\t<\/h5>\n\t<ul>\n<li>Click Apply Online Now button.<\/li>\n<li>You will be required to set up a profile using your email address.<\/li>\n<li>Once you have registered your email, a verification message will be sent to your email, and will include your temporary password. The password can be changed when you login.<\/li>\n<li>When you start your new application, click Chapter by List and choose your KidSport chapter.<\/li>\n<li>Your application can be saved at any time while filling it out. Grants are intended to remove financial barriers to sport programs, and so cannot be applied to equipment, camps (including sport camps), specialized training, transportation, travel, clothing, fundraising fees or tournament fees.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a role=\"heading\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-2\">What communities are covered by KidSport Lumsden &amp; Area?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-2\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-2\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/button>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Lumsden, Regina Beach, Bethune, Buena Vista, Craven, Pense, Grand Coulee and Silton.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a role=\"heading\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-3\">When is the deadline to apply?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-3\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-3\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/button>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>You must register your kid in a sports program prior to applying for KidSport funding. Each program is different, but many do require that KidSport funding be received prior to the program&#8217;s start date. You should apply for a KidSport grant as soon as possible after your kid has been registered, as it can sometimes take up to 30 days for applications to be processed. You must apply for KidSport prior to the start of the sport.<\/p>\n<p>KidSport grants cannot be applied to programs that have already ended.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a role=\"heading\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-4\">How will I know if the application has been approved?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-4\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-4\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/button>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>If you have applied online, you will be sent a system-generated email with your approval information within 30 days of your application.<\/p>\n<p>If you have applied offline (paper), if you choose your method of correspondence as email, you will receive confirmation of the decision on the application via email, otherwise the decision will be mailed to you within 30 days of your application.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a role=\"heading\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-5\">How do I demonstrate financial eligibility?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-5\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-5\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/button>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Please provide one of the following as proof of financial eligibility: Notice of Assessment, Proof of income statement, 3 most recent pay stubs or an assistance statement. Please note additional documents may be requested by the KidSport Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Your Notice of Assessment or Proof of Income Statement can be accessed through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/revenue-agency\/services\/e-services\/e-services-individuals\/a-proof-income-statement-option-print.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CRA My Account.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We strongly recommend this option, as it is free, and the fastest way to obtain your statement.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a role=\"heading\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-6\">What if the child lives outside of the area we cover?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-6\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-6\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/button>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>If your family lives outside of the area we cover, you can apply to the KidSport Provincial Fund.
