Giving the Gift of Sport through Sport Ball Distribution in Prince Albert Community School
Thanks to a $1,000 donation from KidSport supporter Barry Andruschak, 70 sport balls were delivered to Prince Albert’s Princess Margaret Public School onWednesday. Andruschak wrote a book where he donates the net profits on book sales to KidSport.
Joining in the delivery were members of the PA Police Service and PA Fire & Protective Services, as well as volunteer committee members for KidSport Prince Albert. Recipients of the balls were kids in grades 1-3.
“During the pandemic, we’ve seen how important activity is for kids,” said KidSport Prince Albert chair Shaun Pikaluk. “Many kids in our community do not have access to their own sport equipment and this donation allows us to give them a chance to be active and help with mental wellbeing through the holiday school break. We are also going to wrap the sport balls with some additional goodies for the kids, if they choose to take home and put under the tree to unwrap on Christmas Day!”
The gifts were delivered on Wednesday, December 15.
