Misha moved to Canada with his family because of the war in Ukraine. When he moved,\u00a0he did not know any English but had a love for sports\u00a0and began playing soccer with some of the kids in his community.\u00a0As he continued\u00a0participating\u00a0in soccer, he developed friendships and his English language skills grew.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Since then,\u00a0Misha\u00a0has\u00a0played many sports, including\u00a0basketball,\u00a0judo\u00a0and jujitsu, but\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0found his true passion\u00a0with\u00a0wrestling.\u00a0Wrestling has\u00a0now\u00a0become a big\u00a0part of\u00a0Misha\u2019s\u00a0life, helping him to continue to develop his communication skills, while also teaching him other life skills such as\u00a0discipline, respect, self-defense\u00a0and to never give up. This year, Misha\u00a0went to Canadian Nationals where he placed\u00a0second\u00a0but\u00a0he was aiming for first. However, he\u00a0understood his mistakes and knows that next year he will be the champion, with his\u00a0ultimate goal\u00a0of making it to the\u00a0Olympics!\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Misha\u2019s parents have been a huge part of his success\u00a0and are\u00a0his biggest supporters!\u00a0Misha\u00a0would like to thank KidSport and the donors for making sure all kids across our\u00a0province\u00a0get the chance to play the sports they love.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
