Tonia Logan has been\u00a0involved in\u00a0with KidSport since 2003, when she was introduced through work while she worked in the Battlefords. She volunteered for the KidSport Battleford Chapter and loved the idea of being able to assist families to ensure they were able to be involved in sport. In 2006 when she moved to La\u00a0Ronge;\u00a0she decided to start\u00a0the chapter there and\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0been a win for ALL.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The community of La Ronge has strongly supported KidSport over the years, making every fundraiser, initiative a success due to the generosity of local businesses, organizations and residents.\u00a0\u00a0A very memorable moment in the last 19 years was KidSport La Ronge was recognized and honored as Non-Profit of the year at the La Ronge and Area Chamber of Commerce Awards Gala in 2022. \u201cWe are most proud that La Ronge and Area Chapter has helped over 3,200 kids from our area as well being the only Northern Chapter in Saskatchewan,\u201c Logan said, \u201cVolunteering is so important as it provides opportunities to grow your community development. It brings a sense of satisfaction and happiness by connecting with others, supporting a good cause and giving back to your community!\u201d <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tonia\u2019s piece of advice to those looking at getting involved with KidSport, \u201cStay Open:\u00a0be\u00a0cool with trying out new roles or tasks, even if they feel a bit outside your usual groove. You never know setting into something different might teach you something awesome.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
