KidSport Wood Buffalo planning its largest fundraising event to date. It’s on June 10, 2023, at Shell Place ballrooms, Fort McMurray, AB.
We are bringing you a mini-Comicon for the whole family in support of KidSport Wood Buffalo.
It’s a day when everyone gets their costumes out and showcases them for the community to experience. Local celebrities Walk the Runway in a unique Cosplay Show. Kids stations offer not just face painting, games and puzzles but also experience guest vendors like on-location 3D Works, featured character cards and comics. Free bouncy castles on site.
We are looking for youth and adults of all ages to Walk the Red Carpet for our cosplay show.
Get your best costume out or better still create a new one and Walk the Ramp to support our show. Tickets to the event are applied. Early bird tickets are only $10 ea for 13 and up. Kids enter for free.

Specialty Vendors:
Visit, shop and learn from our specialty vendors of all mediums that fit the theme of comics, cartoons, pop culture and superheroes. Each vendor gets a 6 x 6 space with two tables with linens.
The show runs 10 am – 5 pm. Set up begins at 8 am.

Where do the proceeds go?
All proceeds from the event will go towards our athlete’s program that enables low-income families to play a sport of their choice. In 2022, KidSport Wood Buffalo funded over 300 kids locally and invested $120,000 in the sports community in the form of sports registration fees. Our fundraising events help us to continue the work locally so all kids can play.
