What will you do?
• Spend most of your time (75%) talking to people about our mission & goal and how they can be a part of it through KidSport week or Gift of Sport campaign.
• Spend the rest of your time learning about and engaging with corporate donors, non-profit partners and the sports & recreation scene in Wood Buffalo.
• Connect and work with enthusiastic fundraising volunteers to open doors and advance KidSport’s cause.
• Work closely with KidSport Executive Director to cultivate an organizational culture of stewardship.
• Work with Executive Director on goals, objectives, and strategic plans for the campaign, including reports, budget plans etc.
• Create a sustainable fund development plan for KidSport, elevating our presence with local corporate donors.
What we are looking for?
• Two to three years of securing sponsorships, sales, or partnership development roles with a track record of success and demonstrated experience.
• Post secondary education
• Diploma or Professional Certification in Fundraising or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
• Strong organizational and event planning skills
• Creative problem solver with ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• Proven team player who is a self-starter and proactive
• Experience with creating and managing a budget
• Working knowledge of fund development principles and public relations leveraging your strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in completing research tasks such as donor prospecting and retention
• Experience cultivating and managing ongoing relationships
• Knowledge of the local non-profit sector is an asset

Needed:
• Access to a valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle which includes a Business Liability Insurance
• Ability to use your cell phone for business
• Up to date Covid-19 vaccinations highly recommended
Hours & Location:
• Full Time hours working 40 hours a week which can include days, evenings and weekends
• Stat Holidays Off including TRC day on Sept. 30
• Office located downtown Fort Mc Murray, however some work will be located at local events and other areas of Wood Buffalo
