DEMANDER UNE SUBVENTION

Please Note: The 2024 KidSport Edmonton Grant Application deadline has closed.
For the remainder of December 2024, any new application submitted with a 2024 sport program end date will be declined. And any new application submitted with a 2025 sport program end date, will be reviewed in January 2025 for eligibility of 2025 KidSport’s Program funding.

*Our KidSport Edmonton Office will be closed Dec. 21, 2024 – Jan. 5, 2025, inclusively, therefore no calls or emails will be reviewed or responded to during that time.

When applying in January 2025, please:

  • Confirm that you live in Edmonton (Edmonton suburbs do not fall within our Chapter)
  • Include your 2023 Canada Child Benefit (CCB) Notice (2022 CCB's or NOAs do not provide us the information we need to confirm your application is eligible)
  • Include your Sport Program registration receipt (complete with athlete's name, confirmation the athlete has a spot on the team/in the program, Sport Club's name, start/end date of sport program, and total cost registration fees for sport program)
  • Complete your application fully (incomplete applications get put on hold and do not save your spot in the queue)
  • Apply at least 2 months before program start date if needing Sport Central equipment (we can only refer you to Sport Central after we've approved your KidSport application)

What is a grant?

  • KidSport provides funding grants to kids from families facing financial barriers so they can participate in registered sport programs and experience the lifelong benefits that sport provides.
  • This is done through a qualifying application process that subsidizes sport registration fees for KidSport kids.
  • Between Jan. 1, 2024, and Dec. 31, 2024, eligible families that reside in Edmonton can receive up to $250 max per child in grant funding. Please note, higher amounts may be available for Hockey Edmonton sanctioned ice hockey programs including Elite, House, Recreation, Para hockey and Learn to Play Hockey programs.
