Winnipeg, MB – March 18, 2024 – For the first time in its history, KidSport Canada is seeking the recruitment of Directors at Large for the KidSport Canada Board of Directors from outside the national organization.
“We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated and visionary Directors to add diversity of skills and perspective to help grow the organization into the largest charity in Canada,” declared KidSport CEO, Greg Ingalls. “This is an opportunity for passionate community leaders to make a difference in the lives of children across the country.”
The recruitment process is being handled by the KidSport Canada Nominations Committee. The time commitment expected for a Director includes attendance at six virtual and one in person board meetings per year plus potential committee work.
Regardless of background, it is essential that the Directors at Large believe in the value of children participating in sport and in the work that KidSport does to ensure that all children have that opportunity. In 2023 KidSport assisted 40,203 kids into sport, a record-breaking year across the country.
