Winnipeg, MB – January 23, 2023 - KidSport Canada is proud to announce a brand new partnership with Seaman Hotchkiss Hockey Foundation. The partnership will see the Foundation contribute $750,000 to KidSport Canada over the course of the next three years to help reduce financial barriers for families and get more under-resourced children off the sidelines and into the game.
“Hockey is Canada’s official winter sport and this partnership will increase access to the game, said KidSport CEO, Greg Ingalls. “It is important to KidSport that we continue to be able to make the game of hockey available to all kids. The Seaman Hotchkiss Hockey Foundation shares that vision and we look forward to working together to get more kids playing”
The generous contribution from Seaman Hotchkiss Hockey Foundation is set to aid 2,500 children into organized sport programs across Canada. As well, the partnership will see Seaman Hotchkiss Hockey Foundation become a KidSport Canada’s National Partner with the influence of the donation set to make a major impact for all provinces across the country.

KidSport is a national not-for-profit organization that provides financial assistance for registration fees to kids aged 18 and under. Through a confidential application process, KidSport provides grants that enable kids to play a season of sport through assistance with sport registration fees and equipment costs. Incorporated in 1984 as the Flames Project 75 Hockey Assoc. the foundation is a registered Canadian Amateur Athletic Assoc.
