Calgary, AB – February 20, 2025 – KidSport proudly announces its new partnership with Volleyball Alberta. This partnership sees Volleyball Alberta contribute $30,000 to help reduce financial barriers for families and get more children off the sidelines and into the game.
“KidSport envisions an Alberta in which ALL kids have the chance to play, regardless of their financial situation. We could not continue to push towards this goal without the incredible support of our partner organizations.” said Kelly Oehlerking, Executive Director of KidSport Alberta. “Volleyball Alberta believes in the impact sport has on the well-being of kids, and we are thrilled to welcome them to the KidSport team! Together, we are working to make it So ALL Kids Can Play!”

We are proud to be part of a movement that enables kids to learn valuable life skills through sport.”
Volleyball Alberta is committed to creating pathways for young athletes to grow in the sport. With this new partnership, Volleyball Alberta has contributed $30,000 to KidSport, which will provide funding to support up to 100 kids to participate in club volleyball programming in the 2025 season.

KidSport is a national not-for-profit organization that provides financial assistance for registration fees to kids aged 18 and under. Through a confidential application process, KidSport provides grants that enable kids to play a season of sport through assistance with sport registration fees and equipment costs. KidSport believes that the power of sport participation promotes the development of children’s social, mental, and physical well-being. Through increasing access to quality sport programs, KidSport strengthens communities across Canada.
