Just over a year ago, the community lost an outstanding friend in William (Billy) King. Bill was someone who offered his assistance to those who needed a helping hand and volunteered his time on many occasions for kids sporting events as a referee, coach and a volunteer. Funds raised from a memorial golf tournament and donations in Bill’s honor were recently donated to Kidsport Nelson. Bill’s family and friends wholeheartedly think this charity befits the kind and generous person he was. Kidsport Nelson supports local youth 0 -18 yrs for whom finances are a barrier to participate in sport. Although gone, Bill will always be remembered for his generosity towards the local sporting community!
