KidSport Basketball Camp
KidSport is pleased to present a co-ed youth basketball camp in support of underprivileged families in Manitoba hosted by Winnipeg’s own Chad Posthumus and Justus Alleyn of the Winnipeg Sea Bears. All proceeds from the camp will be used to provide a season of sport for kids in Manitoba.
Kids aged 7-12 of all skill levels are welcome to participate. The camp will give participants a chance to learn or refine their foundational skills while enjoying the afternoon with Chad and Justus!
Chad, who was born and raised in Winnipeg, spent the past nine years playing professional basketball. He’s played in the NBA Summer league, Japan Basketball League, National Basketball League of Canada (NBL), Liga Nacional do Básquet, and the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). Chad was the first player ever to sign with the Winnipeg Sea Bears in their inaugural season, bringing the product of Manitoba home!
Justus Alleyn has played professional basketball in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and in the CEBL. Originally selected by the Saskatchewan Rattlers in the CEBL’s inaugural season, Justus returned home last year, signing with the Winnipeg Sea Bears as a free Agent. Justus won a silver medal as part of the Team Canada roster for the 2018 Commonwealth Games, and he continues to share his knowledge as an assistant coach with Basketball Manitoba and Attack Basketball Club.
