KidSport Manitoba
Apply for a Grant
What Is A Grant?
KidSport provides grants to kids from families facing financial barriers so they can participate in registered sport programs and experience the lifelong benefits of a season of sport. We provide grants of up to $300 per eligible child, per year (January 1-December 31) to cover registration fees for organized sport programs. Grants are intended to be used for sport registration fees; travel, competitions, uniforms, camps, and lessons are not eligible for funding. Grants cannot be issued for programs/seasons that have already concluded.
Sports clubs must be active members of their Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) to be eligible for KidSport funding. If you are unsure whether your club qualifies, we recommend contacting them directly or checking the list of PSOs on Sport Manitoba's website.
Please note that KidSport Manitoba does not distribute equipment, nor does the program accept equipment donations.

Not Eligible for KidSport Or need More Assistance?
We understand that $300 may not be enough to cover a season of sport, or your activity may be ineligible to receive KidSport funding.
There are many great opportunities from other organizations in Manitoba that can provide funding for youth sports as well. Please take a look at the guide in this section to see what other grants you may be eligible for.
