At only the age of 20, Lauren Lenentine, the Cornwall native, has already made a name for herself on the international side of curling. Lauren curled out of the Cornwall Curling Club for most of her junior career before moving to Nova Scotia for the 2018-19 season.

In 2018, with the Kaitlyn Jones rink, Lenentine and her team captured the World Junior Curling Championship in Aberdeen, Scotland. Lenentine and her team captured the title by beating an undefeated Swedish team in the final 7-4.

Following the 2019 season, Lenentine moved to Manitoba to join the MacKenzie Zacharias rink. Following her team’s win in the Manitoba Junior Provincials, Lenentine became the first female junior curler to represent three different provinces at the Canadian Junior Curling Championships. The team went on to win the 2020 Canadian Junior Curling Championships and later the 2020 World Junior Curling Championships.

Lauren continues to live in Winnipeg, studying at the University of Manitoba, and pursuing her curling career. Thank you for your support with KidSport PEI!
