KidSport PEI is pleased to announce Noah Dobson as the newest addition to its list of KidSport Ambassadors in the province.  Dobson has agreed to help promote the program while he attempts to make the jump from the QMJHL to the NHL with the New York Islanders.

The 19-year-old defensive standout is only starting to make his mark on the game of hockey. Dobson won gold with the Canadian U-18 team at the 2017 Ivan Hlinka Memorial tournament in the Czech Republic. He was named to the 2018 Sherwin-Williams CHL/NHL Top Prospects game. In June of 2018, Dobson was drafted 12th overall in the NHL Entry Draft by the New York Islanders. During his time in the QMJHL, Dobson won 2 consecutive President’s Cups (QMJHL champion) and Memorial Cups (CHL champion) with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan and Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.

Joining a list of high profile athletes from PEI, Dobson knows the importance of sport, and the impact it can have on a youth’s life.  KidSport works to break down the financial barriers in sport, by providing grants to families who apply and meet the grant criteria.  Each year, KidSport must raise the dollars needed to meet the demand of families applying for grants.

Noah is looking forward to helping the KidSport program on PEI, along with his fellow Team KidSport Ambassadors.
