Shayne has been involved in the Life Insurance industry since 1996 when he moved back to Charlottetown after having lived off Island for 15 years. Shayne and his father created Connolly Group in 1998 where they have a growing Life and Health Insurance brokerage firm.
Having played many sports growing up, Shayne was always aware of the value of participation in sports and introduced many of his children, where they gravitated to many in a successful way. Basketball, though, became their primary sport. Shayne then volunteered for the board of Charlottetown Minor Basketball and became the President of the Association and remained in that position from 2005 to 2013. Subsequent to this role, Shayne joined the Board of Basketball PEI for the next 6 years. Shayne truly believes that the ability to learn the life lessons that sport provides is key for our youth and their development.
