By supporting KidSport we all win. When kids have access to sport they improve in school, become stronger leaders, create safer communities, ignite inclusivity and fuel healthy habits for life.
OUR Team
Kidsport Leduc & County is made possible thanks to passionate volunteers and our incredible partners. Together we’re making it so no kid in Leduc & Leduc County is left watching from the sidelines.
Chair
Dawn Macdougall is the founding board member of KidSport Leduc and County, (KSLC). Since bringing the KidSport movement to Leduc and County in October of 2022, our phenomenal group of community minded Board members, has supported over 300 youth into organized sport and broke a KidSport Canada record as the first Chapter in KidSport Canada’s 30 years to fund over 100 youth in it’s inaugural year. “The need in our region was there from the beginning and we are so proud to say that we are working hard in our communities to build relationships and partnerships with like minded organizations who want to provide a safe space for youth to play”
Until recently, Dawn’s professional background was as a Business and Not-for-Profit Consultant. Recently Dawn decided to use her operations and NFP background to support Alberta food banks when she became the Member Services Manager for Food Banks Alberta. “This role allows me to support local communities in need and potentially impact families who have the same need for KidSport”.
Coinciding with her previous professional roles, Dawn has also held various Chair and President of the Board roles on numerous NFP Boards, including BGC Leduc, Leduc FCSS Advisory Board, and the City of Leduc Remuneration Committee.
Why does Dawn support KSLC? “KidSport gives me the opportunity to make an impact in two areas I am most passionate about, increasing accessibility to healthy activity and mental health.”
