KidSport Greater Victoria is being supported by local kayaker Scott Macdonald in the upcoming Race to Alaska (R2AK). This June, Macdonald will be raising funds for KidSport while paddling a 1200 km race from Port Townsend, Washington to Ketchikan, Alaska.

KidSport Canada is a national charitable organization that helps remove financial barriers for kids to participate in organized sports. The organization’s local chapter provides grants for children in financial need in the Greater Victoria area to participate in sports programs.

Macdonald’s partnership with KidSport Greater Victoria aims to raise awareness and funds for the organization. “I’m thrilled to partner with KidSport Greater Victoria and use the Race to Alaska as a platform to support their important work,” says Macdonald. “I have seen the great work that they do in the community as a coach at the Victoria City Rowing Club. Every kid deserves the opportunity to participate in sports. I’m excited to help make that a reality.”
