KIDSPORT NORTH SHORE
Winter Newsletter Issue - February 2025

A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR

On behalf of KidSport North Shore, I would like to welcome everyone to our Winter 2024/2025 newsletter!
KidSport North Shore (KSNS) is a charity that provides funding to families facing financial challenges, so that their kids can participate in sports programs on the North Shore. KSNS provides funding to help cover registration fees and related costs so that all kids aged 5-18 living on the North Shore can play a season of sport. KSNS accepts applications from families for funding and provides grants of up to $600 per child per year.
2024 was the busiest year ever for KSNS! I would like to thank our dedicated volunteer board members and many other volunteers, individuals donors, corporate sponsors and provincial and municipal governments for their continued support for KSNS.
We hope you enjoy the features below and thank you for your continuing support of KSNS!

The Hamber Foundation was established in 1964, and in its 60 year history has provided countless grants for cultural, educational and charitable purposes to organizations and associations in arts, athletics, health care, education, youth groups, and welfare within British Columbia. KSNS is very grateful to The Hamber Foundation for choosing KSNS as a recipient of this donation.
- Neptune Terminals is one of our most consistent and generous supporters. Neptune Terminals, which operates a bulk shipping terminal in North Vancouver, has again supported KSNS with a $3000 donation in 2024. We are extremely grateful for the ongoing support of Neptune Terminals who have donated to KSNS year after year, demonstrating their commitment to helping North Shore families ensure that their kids can participate in sport.
- District of West Vancouver, District of North Vancouver, and City of North Vancouver – all three North Shore municipalities were generous supporters of KSNS in 2024 with donations totalling $14,500.
Thank you to all of our individual and corporate supporters, to all North Shore foundations and municipalities, and to the provincial government for their tremendous support of KSNS in 2024.
