KidSport has been a huge help to Sarah Tucker and her family.

For 14 years, she has used KidSport in Saskatchewan, Alberta and B.C. to keep her kids off the sidelines and playing the sport they love. Now she is doing her part by donating a portion of the sales from her Graphically Hip business to help other kids.

“It was a very natural and easy decision,” says Tucker. “There’s no way that my kids would have been involved in anything without KidSport’s help. I think that KidSport is one of the best non-profits that there is. Especially when it comes to kids who just can’t afford to do anything. They are fantastic.”

KidSport Penticton helps cover the costs of registration fees so kids aged 18 and under can play a season of sport. The Penticton chapter accepts applications and administers grants of up to $400 per child a year, for kids who live in Penticton or in a community the local chapter serves.

Tucker didn’t want the donation from Graphically Hip to be a short-term support so at the end of the year, she will be making a large donation. She hopes it will help two or three kids be able to play the sport of their choice.

While Tucker doesn’t need to use KidSport anymore, the organization is important for her to support.

“It’s still important to me that other kids get to play sports and get to participate and learn how to be on a team,” she says. “There are still so many people out there who don’t even know that KidSport is around.

“If it was up to me, every company would just donate a portion of their sales to KidSport,” she continued. “I’m going to do as much as I can. I don’t plan on it stopping as long as I have my business. If there is anybody else out there who is looking for a non-profit to make even a one-time donation to, KidSport is an awesome one.”

Graphically Hip provides logos/branding, wraps, decals and signs, web design, apparel and promotional materials for folks in Western Canada.
