With the support of the Community Sport For All Initiative funding awarded to KidSport Canada in 2022, KidSport Ontario announces the expansion of its chapter network to include Kingston, Halton Region, and Sault Ste. Marie. The announcement was made on January 23 in Oakville, alongside Parliamentary Secretary for Sport and Milton MP Adam van Koeverden; Minister of National Defense and Oakville MP Anita Anand; Minister of Families, Children and Social Development of Canada and Burlington MP Karina Gould; and Oakville-North-Burlington MP Pam Damoff at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex.

Run solely by volunteers, KidSport chapters make meaningful connections with sport clubs and social services organizations, connecting with families and helping remove financial barriers to sport for low-income and marginalized children in their communities.
