Leanna has played a variety of competitive sports growing up including soccer, volleyball, field lacrosse, box lacrosse, and ice hockey. She has represented Team Ontario for women’s field lacrosse and won a gold medal with the Oshawa Lady Blue Knights at Ontario Summer Games in 2004. Leanna has been volunteering to coach a variety of sports since she was 15 years old. She enjoys seeing others learn and improve at all different skill levels.
Leanna works for Toronto Police Service and has partnered with KidSport to attend the local schools to create and give students in under-resourced areas the chance to learn and play new sports. She believes that sports build positive character traits and create long-lasting bonds and friendships, and that everyone should have the opportunity to play and try something new.
