Since launching in 1995, KidSport Saskatchewan has helped more than 170,000 kids across the province participate in sport by providing more than $17 million in grants to cover registration fees.

On October 18, KidSport hosted the Game Changers gala to honour and recognize volunteers who have made that possible, whether they’d been with KidSport for a day or for all 30 years of operation.

In collaboration with SaskEnergy, who is the Champion of Volunteers for KidSport Saskatchewan, multiple individuals were celebrated during the event. This includes Dorothy Josephson and Jerry Shoemaker, who have both been with KidSport Saskatchewan for its 30-year existence.

In addition, KidSport honoured volunteers who have been with the organization between 15-29 years from chapters across the province. Our highlight reel showcases each of these individuals.

Volunteers recognized at the event received a gift from SaskEnergy and KidSport while enjoying an evening full of fun, laughter, celebration and including a Q&A and photos with Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation ambassadors Brett Lauther and Jemarcus Hardrick. The evening was topped off with local Saskatchewan Comedian Darryl Koszman Jr.

Thank you to all those who were able to join us and to everyone who has dedicated their time and energy in the last three decades to making it So ALL Kids Can Play!
