The KidSport Invitational Golf Tournament has raised over $800,000 in the past 13 years!
Bennett Dunlop Ford has been on board as presenting sponsor for the past 12 years and has committed to getting the tournament over the $1 million dollar mark. This incredible partnership ensures that kids across Saskatchewan get the opportunity to experience the power of sport.
“This is the 12th year for Bennett Dunlop Ford as the presenting sponsor and we look forward to this all year long to support KidSport as the impact of the tournament has helped more than 4,000 kids in our community. That’s a big thing as Driving Change is our motto at Bennett Dunlop Ford and this is a great way to make an impact in our community,” said Stacey Cattell, Bennett Dunlop Ford. “We believe in giving back to our community. Our staff raises funds, our ownership group makes a donation, it’s a special way to impact kids in our community – Driving Change.”
The KidSport Invitational Golf Tournament started 13 years ago with the committee taking the best of all golf tournaments and creating this first-class event. The tournament sells out every year with many organizations returning year after year to support KidSport Saskatchewan.
“We’re so thankful to the committee for their dedication to this event that helps make it So ALL Kids Can Play. It means so much to KidSport and our staff are so fortunate to have such dedicated volunteers who ensure this event sells out every year,” said Tammy Hoffart, KidSport Provincial Coordinator.
At the tournament, not only do golfers get to play at Wascana Golf and Country Club, a world-class course, but they also get treated to a special story. During the meal, a KidSport recipient shares their story of how KidSport and sport have helped them both on and off the field of play.
“KidSport is thankful for these brave recipients who speak in front of a room of 130 people telling their story. We can’t wait to see where their sport journey takes them,” said Hoffart.
Each year Bennett Dunlop Ford donates the lease of a Ford vehicle for a year to one lucky participant. Every participant has a chance to win and increase their chances by buying car wash packages at the tournament, with all funds going toward KidSport.
Bennett Dunlop Ford is not only the presenting sponsor of the tournament, but this year their employees raised $1,000 for KidSport Jersey Day through their initiative of Driving Change within the community.
