The Longest Day of Golf took place on June 20 with Brian Fitzpatrick and Kris Farley playing a marathon day of golf while raising $3,300 in support of KidSport, ensuring kids across Saskatchewan have the opportunity to participate in sports like golf.
The longest day of golf was something Fitzpatrick always wanted to do as a fundraiser. He researched this type of fundraiser for years and fulfilled that dream in 2022 with fellow golf-loving friend Farley.
“We play from sunup to sundown to see how many holes we can play with the goal of playing more each year,” Fitzpatrick said. “All funds donated, every cent, goes to KidSport as they are a great organization.”
In 2022, the pair played 115 holes, in 2023 they played 129 holes and in 2024 they shattered their record, playing 141 holes!
Playing all their 141 holes at the Carnduff Golf Course, Fitzpatrick and Farley started their day at 4:16 a.m. and ended their golf day around 10 p.m. Funds were raised through an online auction and a 50/50.
“The goal is always to play more holes, have good weather and to raise funds for KidSport,” said Fitzpatrick.
KidSport would like to thank Brian and Kris for playing the longest day of golf and making it So All Kids Can Play!
