For 14-year-old Jake Prevost the decision to give back to other kids this holiday season was easy!

Prevost worked with 22Fresh on a fundraiser to honour his late father. He designed a shirt for friends and family to purchase, donating more than $650 of the proceeds to KidSport, so more kids like him can participate in sport.

My name is Jake Prevost. As many of you know, my dad sadly passed away last year after a courageous fight with brain cancer. My dad absolutely loved baseball and played with the SMBL in Saskatoon up until a couple years before he passed. He even returned to the mound and got the win after his first surgery and treatments for brain cancer. My dad was someone that I looked up to and admired. He had a joy for life and especially kids. He was known on my team and my brother’s for always having a glove handy and ready to play catch with anyone at the field. The siblings on the team loved it, and he made sure to include everyone. “

As I remember my dad, the phrase that stuck with me from one of my favourite ball players, Francisco Lindor:

Work Hard, Be Consistent

These words helped me through and are what I know my dad would have wanted me to do. I worked with 22Fresh on a shirt design to remind me and others to stay motivated in hardships throughout life.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to KidSport in memory of my dad. He would be proud to support an organization that helps kids play sports that otherwise wouldn’t be given the opportunity.

Thanks Jake
