Emily Baadsvik is a New Brunswick import who came to Alberta in 2006 with hopes of playing rugby at a National level. After suffering a serious training injury, her dreams of high level sport were placed on hold. It was only after watching the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, and a push from previous Canadian Olympic Bobsleigh Athlete Morgan Alexander, that she attended a bobsleigh identification camp. Fast forward to 2014, and Emily successfully represented Canada as a proud Olympic Team Member at the 2014 Olympic games in Sochi.
The work ethic and dedication learned from sport became the foundation for becoming an entrepreneur, and starting “Wild Tea Kombucha” in 2015. Through the addition of her business partner, and invaluable team- Wild Tea Kombucha has grown from a stall at the farmer’s market to a industry leader available from Victoria to Winnipeg. With National distribution and new product innovation as goals for the end of 2018, community involvement and responsibility have remained one of the key values for WTK. Both KidSport & Branch Out Foundation are two of the many charities that are near and dear to our hearts.
